Mike Comiskey from the Pittsburgh Regional Business Coalition for Homeland Security

In January 2005, 7 region businesses, university, civic and government organizations formed a public/private partnership whose purpose it was to promote disaster planning within the business community. In addition, the Coalition set forth to provide support to our region’s emergency management organizations by serving a key interface role to the business community and rallying their support where needed. A little over two years layer the Coalition has won the key role as the business community’s interface to the regions emergency responders, has spread the word of disaster planning throughout the 13 counties of South Western Pennsylvania and launched several new programs unique in Pennsylvania designed to support our regions emergency responders in time of disaster. Mike Comiskey would like to review the Coalition’s progress and review the two recent initiatives designed to provide critical support to the regions responders.
